Nat Bates for Mayor film viewing

Nat_with_fire.pngThe East Bay documentary premiere of “Nat Bates for Mayor” tells the true story of the extraordinary 2014 mayor's race in Richmond, CA. Even those of you who caught the documentary on KQED last year will want to come out and see it on the big screen: there are new sections not aired on public television.

A post film discussion follows, moderated by John Sepulvado, host of KQED radio's "The California Report." Panel includes Jovanka Beckles, Richmond City Councilmember and Candidate for CA State Assembly, 15th District; Andrés Soto, Richmond Organizer for Communities for a Better Environment; Jamie Gardner, East Bay DSA Local Council; and the filmmakers.

"Expect hilarity—but also class warfare and other ugliness at the heart of political ambition." East Bay Times
